Open-Plan Shaker Kitchen with Feature Island in Kimbolton

Seeing this kitchen completed has made us really happy - it’s easy to imagine this becoming a fantastic space for family life and those important coffee moments. The brief was to create a room that felt welcoming, practical and perfectly suited to everyday living. 

This kitchen features the Casa range from Schüller, with a clean shaker door in Sand Grey, complemented by a deep blue island and pale grey tiling throughout. While the door style is traditional, the overall look feels fresh and contemporary, sitting beautifully within the open-plan layout. 

The kitchen features several elements that might be missed at first glance. A Quooker tap was a must, while Bosch appliances include a full-size oven with microwave - ideal for a home that benefits from two large ovens - and a venting hob on the island to keep the eyeline clear.  

There’s a larder fridge and freezer hidden behind doors, along with integrated dishwasher and bin storage, plus a wine fridge, a breakfast pantry, and a coffee station that add to the overall wow. 

We managed the project from start to finish, removing the old kitchen and floor, adjusting plumbing, electrics and lighting, and completing the plastering, flooring, installation and painting to bring the room together.

The finished space feels balanced, practical and effortlessly stylish. It’s a kitchen designed to be used and enjoyed every day, whether for cooking, entertaining, or simply taking a quiet moment with a cup of coffee.
