Green Shaker Kitchen in Great Staughton

The aim was to create a kitchen with more storage, better flow and features that suited both the home and the family. A simple layout change has transformed the room, making it feel much wider, while the continuous flooring into the utility creates a calm and seamless feel throughout. 

The cabinetry features a versatile shaker door, available in smooth, grained or beaded finishes, making it an excellent choice for both traditional and contemporary homes. For this project, we colour-matched the cabinetry and painted the Crittall doors to complement the scheme, while the green finish pairs beautifully with the flooring. A Belfast sink and range cooker complete the look, perfectly suited to the character of the property. 

Every detail was chosen to enhance both the style and practicality of the space. Bespoke storage solutions, including a pull-out larder, make everyday essentials easy to organise and access, while the improved layout creates a kitchen that feels effortless to use. Combined with the carefully selected finishes, the result is a space that’s both functional and full of character. 

As with many older properties, there were a few unexpected challenges to overcome. We coordinated the plumbing, electrical works, plastering, painting and flooring, managing the entire project from start to finish so the homeowners could head off for a week in the sun while we transformed their kitchen. 

The finished space feels brighter, more spacious and far better connected. More storage, improved flow and a timeless design have created a kitchen that’s a pleasure to spend time in.
