Oak textured luxury bathroom in Great Staughton
Stepping into this completed bathroom in Great Staughton, the sense of calm and comfort is immediate. From the warm oak textures to the polished porcelain tiles underfoot, every element has been chosen to enhance relaxation. What began as a dated, uninspired space is now a refined and rejuvenating room that feels both modern and timeless.
Project overview
-
The homeowners wanted a clean, spa-style bathroom with built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and a natural, tactile finish. They were drawn to soft wood tones, open spaces, and subtle pops of contrast. Our aim was to create a space that not only looked beautiful but made daily routines feel more luxurious. Together, we explored materials and layouts to create a light, elegant bathroom that feels peaceful yet practical.
-
We used Crown Imperial’s End Grain oak textured cabinetry for a natural warmth and durability, complemented by a Simstone quartz worktop for an understated yet luxurious finish. The curved bath end softens the layout and makes the most of the floor space. A sit-on basin, paired with a Sensio triple-door mirrored cabinet (complete with integrated lights and a Bluetooth speaker), adds both functionality and flair.
Tiling played a major role in this design. Large white marble-effect porcelain floor tiles were carried through into the walk-in shower enclosure for a continuous, calming look. A recessed niche in the shower adds storage and interest, with its back panel and the sink splashback both tiled in a vibrant Ca’ Pietra design — chosen for its delicate colour and pattern contrast.
-
A ceiling-mounted waterfall shower creates a gentle, rain-like experience, while the back-to-wall toilet keeps the lines of the space feeling sleek and uninterrupted. We added electric underfloor heating to bring comfort underfoot, especially on cooler mornings. Open shelving brings depth to the design and offers space for display or practical storage — a perfect blend of style and function.
-
This was a fully managed project by Kitchen Culture. We removed the existing bathroom, installed new plumbing and electrics, handled all tiling and flooring, and delivered the bespoke built-in furniture. Every detail, from lighting to final fixtures, was carefully planned and completed to a high standard.
-
The result is a beautifully finished bathroom that feels both indulgent and inviting. From morning routines to evening wind-downs, the space supports every moment. The homeowners were delighted with the final result — a peaceful retreat that’s perfectly suited to their lifestyle.
