Dove Grey shaker kitchen in Papworth Everard
It’s always exciting to work with brand-new product launches, and this Papworth Everard project was one of the first in the UK to showcase Crown Imperial’s updated Midsomer range with three-panel larder doors.
Project overview
-
Although the house is spacious, the original kitchen felt underwhelming and disconnected from the rest of the property. The layout didn’t make the most of the available space, and the clients wanted a kitchen that felt more refined and inviting - somewhere they could enjoy every day, with quality materials and considered design throughout. Having seen a previous Kitchen Culture project nearby, they got in touch and quickly discovered our approach aligned perfectly with what they were hoping for.
-
The updated Midsomer range from Crown Imperial was an ideal fit for the space, classic, but with a modern edge thanks to its new three-panel larder doors. Dove Grey cabinetry provides a soft, calming backdrop, while the Mercury island adds contrast and depth. Cimstone Sierra quartz worktops with matching splashbacks create a seamless and practical finish. The Franke ceramic undermount sink and Quooker Flex (with Cube) add modern functionality without disrupting the timeless feel. Integrated NEFF appliances including two slide-and-hide ovens, induction hob, larder fridge, and freezer, while a Caple wine fridge brings a touch of luxury to the island.
-
Careful thought went into making the kitchen practical as well as stylish. Blum SpaceTower larders and Nuvola corner pull-outs keep storage easy to access without compromising the clean lines of the design. The central island offers generous preparation space, storage, and casual seating, while the layout ensures everything is right where it’s needed. This attention to function, as well as form, makes all the difference in daily use.

This was a fully managed project from start to finish. We carried out the removal of the previous kitchen, coordinated plumbing and heating upgrades, full electrical work with T24 Electrical, plastering, new skirtings, painting, and the porcelain tiled flooring using tiles supplied by Mandarin Stone near Cambridge. Quartz fabrication was handled by The Marble Group, and our fitters took care of both the kitchen and utility room installation with care and precision throughout.
-
The finished kitchen now feels beautifully balanced and considered, a place that genuinely fits the rest of the house, both in scale and style. The clients are delighted with the transformation and it’s a project we’re proud to have been part of.
