Anthracite handleless kitchen
Stepping into this finished kitchen near Leeds, we couldn’t help but pause and take in the beauty of the space. What was once a concept on paper had become a stunning, light-filled family kitchen - perfectly balancing bold design features with practical, everyday functionality.
Project overview
-
The homeowners were embarking on a major extension and wanted a space that could truly become the heart of their home. They dreamed of a kitchen that felt modern and elegant, but warm and welcoming for family gatherings. Functionality was high on the wishlist: they needed ample storage, easy cooking flow, and clever design to integrate with the wider living area.
Through video calls and design meetings, we worked closely with them to bring their vision to life. From the first concept sketches to showroom visits at Crown Imperial’s Daventry display centre, every decision was made with care — from colour palettes to appliance choices.
-
The design took inspiration from one of our own showroom displays, combining striking Crown Imperial Ceramic Anthracite doors with luxurious Dekton Laurent worktops. The result is dramatic yet beautifully balanced — the dark cabinetry offset by warm tones and soft natural light pouring in from the extension’s large windows.
Appliances were chosen to enhance both form and function, with two sinks for flexibility, a sleek Quooker tap for instant boiling water, and smart, integrated storage solutions to keep clutter at bay.
-
While the design feels effortlessly stylish, there’s plenty of clever thinking behind the scenes. The island needed detailed planning, with a vented hob and sink requiring precise positioning to work around underfloor heating and plumbing. Window heights were carefully measured so that the worktops could flow seamlessly behind them without any awkward ledges.
Storage has been maximised with thoughtful details — from deep pan drawers to dedicated cupboard space for the heating manifold. It’s the kind of kitchen where everything has its place, making daily life smoother for the whole family.
-
While this project was located outside our usual installation area, we worked hand-in-hand with the client’s builder to ensure a smooth and well-planned handover. By providing precise measurements, detailed drawings, and ongoing support throughout the build phase, we helped create a space that was ready for kitchen installation without a hitch. Clear communication and thorough planning meant each trade could carry out their part with confidence, a truly seamless collaboration that brought the design to life exactly as envisioned.
-
The finished kitchen is not only striking to look at but practical, inviting, and full of personal touches. The balance of light and dark tones, the pop of colour in the island rails, and the seamless integration of appliances make it a joy to use.
The homeowners are thrilled with the result — and so are we.
